From Vienna, 1990 — to the global stage.

Golem was established in Austria in 1990 with its main office in the World Trade Center, Vienna (1991–1995), before moving its headquarters to Donaustadt, Vienna. The company is a member of the Austrian Economic Trade Chamber.

Our business activities were initially related to distribution of microelectronics components, system integration, implementing of RFID technologies, production of optical crystals for research, and developing advanced ICT solutions for business performance management.

Golem has a long history of successful collaboration with the United Nations Industrial Development Organization as an application software outsourcing partner developing Pharos Navigator® software applications, training and consulting.

2019 – 2020

Operational model of a generic agro-industrial enterprise to support holistic sustainable management at the business and national governance levels — the core of an AI-driven digital twin of a mid-size dairy plant. Demonstrated in the UNIDO agro-industrial project for Mongolia.

2000 – 2010

Implementation of Pharos Navigator® suite for sustainable inclusive development, industrial management, smart governance and circular economy — deployed in Indonesia, India, Lebanon, Colombia, Cuba and more.

1994 – 2000

Collaboration with UNIDO's Quality, Standardization and Metrology Branch — development of BEST, FIT, MCCT and Pharos Business Navigator software packages. Deployed in ~3,000 SMEs across 24 countries.


Contributing to Horizon Europe and global standards.

Based on strong scientific and practical experience in digital technology, Golem supports and contributes to Horizon Europe projects and ITU-T international standardization work.
